As a married guy, Having a wife who is very much if not more a gamer than me is a thrill to have. When I was a young gamer I never thought that I could find a woman who was as crazy about games as I am. There is nothing better than playing a game with the one you love, I wouldn't trade it for a million XP. There is something special about seeing my wife playing Animal Crossing or Zelda and really enjoying it. On the flip side co-oping Left 4 Dead or any of the Lego games she is always there to assist or make jokes about my screw-ups. Having two Daughters who are also avid gamers makes for fun family game nights (Epic Super Smash Bros. battles) Getting married, Settling down, Having kids...It doesn't mean you have to give up gaming. Sure you are probably going to have to hide the Borderlands, GTA, FarCry etc. but it also means that gaming with your kids is a bonding experience. Gaming with your spouse can also be great for quality time. Many times my Wife and I have spent hours and hours only to find that it was pretty late at night. Gaming for me has only gotten better since getting married and having kids. It has opened up my eyes to new types of games and made me enjoy family time so much more.
