Ratchet & Clank and Sunset Overdrive developer Insomniac Games is releasing its first PC game, Slow Down, Bull, on Steam 20th April.
Priced at a mere $5.99 (so about £4), Slow Down, Bull is a top-down autorunning game of sorts about controlling a bull where your main interaction is pulling its figurative reigns. However, if you're too micromanaging of your steer, he'll get angry and go on a rampage, thus destroying all the decorations he's trying to collect to advance in his career as an artist. Did I mention he's a painter?
This small-scale project is an experimental shift for the studio that's typically operated in the triple A space. The game began with a prototype by designer Lisa Brown, who had lots of interesting ideas that never really fit into the larger projects the studio was working on. So it decided to let her make her own game. Brown then came up with the notion of "What if pressing a button made the action *stop* rather than making it go?"
