During today's lengthy Nintendo Direct conference, Nintendo announced that Amiibos based on Super Smash Bros. Mewtwo and Lucas are coming soon. The company also announced that Amiibo wave four will street in the United States on May 29. That wave consists of Wario, Ness, Pac-Man, Robin, Lucinda, and Charizard.[Excerpt]
Not stopping there, Nintendo revealed two additional waves. In July, wave five brings Amiibos for Dark Pitt and Palutena. September brings the sixth wave, consisting of Olimar, Dr. Mario, Zero Suit Samus, Ganondorf, and Bowser Jr.
That's not all; upcoming Wii U game Splatoon is getting a three-pack of Amiibos that consist of an inkling girl, inkling boy, and inkling squid. This set launches on May 29. Yoshi's Woolly World is also getting a line of Amiibos. Like the game, these Amiibos are made out of yarn. When you use the Amiibos in this game, a second Yoshi is added to the game. The Yarn Yoshi Amiibo will ship in three colors: green, pink, and blue.
